She Bought an Old Bus for Pennies on the Dollar. And Turned it into a Royal Mansion!
Many of us want to travel the world. Even the most ardent explorers require a place to call home. The protagonist of this story chose not to make any compromises; in her dream home, she matched her passion of travel with her need for home comfort.
Furthermore, rather than purchasing a ready-made home, Jessie Lipskin chose to build one. She saw a 1966 GMC bus for pennies on one website and purchased it right away. Jessie spent the next several years transforming her acquisition into the ideal motorhome.
That’s how it all began:
Inside, the scene was no better…
However, the bus proved to be rather durable. It was just necessary to strengthen the structure slightly…
Then, all surfaces were coated with natural wood, including the walls, plywood, and linings on the ceiling. We had to make our own furniture since living in such a unique environment necessitates a unique approach to everything. The floor was covered in parquet.
The bus’s exterior was also updated. The broken paint with indications of rust is no longer an issue!
He looks great in white…
And here’s what the finished product looks like on the inside!
It has everything and then some! First and foremost, and maybe most critically, a large and comfy bed…
Every square inch in such a location is priceless. So there is a convenient storage space under the bed for a variety of items.
A bookshelf serves as both a source of entertainment and a decorative element in the home.
And where would you go if you didn’t have a closet?
Every housewife would covet such a kitchen. You can’t tell right away that it’s a mobile home.
The refrigerator’s distinctive shape warrants special notice. Because it creates more working space above it, it is both stable and practical.
And where can you go if you don’t have a bathroom? Yes, there is no full bath, but there is a shower, a washbasin, and a large mirror.
You can now fearlessly travel to the most stunning sunsets!
