“A Boy With a Strange Nose”: What Does The Boy Nicknamed “Pinocchio” Look Like Today?

Baby Ollie Tresis was born with an extremely rare condition known as encephalocele. As he progressed in age, the boy encountered a growing issue with an enlarging nose, posing a risk of meningitis with even minor injuries.

Medical professionals strongly recommended the parents to proceed with a corrective surgical procedure. For the initial nine months, Ollie lived without undergoing surgery.

However, as his nasal condition worsened, his parents made the decision to approve the corrective procedure.

The surgery was successful, providing relief to the boy, who could now breathe more comfortably, a significant improvement from his previous challenges.

In an effort to raise awareness about such medical cases, the boy’s mother shared a photo of her son on the internet. The response from many people was supportive, offering well-wishes for Ollie’s swift recovery.
