In August, Sam Asghari, at the age of 29, initiated divorce proceedings from Britney Spears, attributing their separation to “irreconcilable differences.” Since their split, Asghari has consistently spoken positively about his former partner. During a recent interview with People magazine, he shared his thoughts on maintaining respect after a breakup.

“It baffles me to see separated couples speaking ill of each other. I could never do that, as my experiences with Britney were nothing but wonderful and have enriched my life,” he conveyed to the magazine. Reflecting on his 14-month union with Spears, Sam expressed his profound gratitude for the time they shared. “Sharing a portion of my life with Britney was an incredible gift. It’s natural for people to grow apart and move on,” he remarked.

Despite the dissolution of his marriage with the pop icon, Asghari remains optimistic and open-hearted. Currently, his only female companion is his Doberman named Portia. “Optimism has always been a guiding principle in my life, and my past experiences have molded me into who I am today. I’m committed to personal growth and hold my past in high regard, always looking back with affection,” he added.

Asghari first addressed his decision to part ways with Britney Spears through a heartfelt social media post. “After a beautiful six-year journey together, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways. We maintain a deep mutual respect and I will always wish her the very best,” he stated.

In response, Britney shared a brief video of herself dancing at home, expressing her surprise and emotional turmoil over the situation in the caption, noting she was “a little shocked” by the developments but couldn’t endure the distress any longer.
