The man behind this astonishing discovery is Roberte Garce, an amateur archaeologist and an enthusiast of ancient structures. Recently, Roberte embarked on a personal project to build his dream house near a World War II fort.

Currently, the building stands at nine stories tall. Since a few of the rooms were to be built underground, Roberte and his team stumbled upon a network of tunnels that eventually led them to these ancient cave structures.

Roberte’s keen interest in archaeology enabled him to accurately determine the age of the soil layers.

According to recent reports, regional authorities have halted all excavations in the area to protect and preserve this remarkable find.
