Robert De Niro has expressed his thoughts on Al Pacino’s imminent fatherhood. Additionally, the actor shared his joy about the recent birth of his own daughter. The septuagenarian actor stunned many when he revealed the birth of his newborn daughter, whom he named Gia. The little girl’s mother is 45-year-old Tiffany Chen. Shortly thereafter, it was announced that 83-year-old Al Pacino is also on the verge of becoming a father. His partner, Noor Alfallah, is eight months pregnant. While this is the seventh child for De Niro, Pacino already has three children.

When asked if he had extended his congratulations to his long-time co-star, De Niro admitted that he had yet to do so. “Not yet. I just found out about it … But I’m happy for him,” the actor shared. After news of Pacino’s upcoming fatherhood broke, internet users started debating about which of the two stars was more attractive in their youth. The online discussions remained unresolved, with disputes still ongoing in the comment sections. When asked about this topic, De Niro offered a diplomatic answer to ET online, stating, “I don’t know what to say. 50/50.”

Later, on the Today show, Robert reiterated his happiness for his friend, pointing out Pacino’s seniority over him. “Look, Al Pacino’s also expecting a baby soon, I was informed yesterday morning, and he’s a few years older than me. Good for him, I’m truly delighted for him,” the actor stated. Regarding his own situation, the Oscar winner conveyed that being a father again has brought him comfort. His little girl inspires De Niro. He’s pouring his energy into caring for his newborn.

“It helps. I don’t do the heavy lifting, I confess, but I try. It’s not that I didn’t do it years ago, but I try my best. She’s absolutely adorable – a little innocent being. It’s simply wonderful,” Robert elaborated. The father of seven feels that he’s reached a new level of awareness at his age. Nonetheless, he finds himself learning new things, which he finds gratifying.

“I’ve attained a certain awareness – as you grow older, you develop an understanding of life’s elements, including family dynamics. You inevitably learn how to handle and manage them. It’s remarkable, but I’m genuinely excited about it,” De Niro concluded.
