Today’s renovator stumbled upon an old chest of drawers discarded in a heap of trash and decided to give it a chic makeover.

Although in decent condition, the piece needed some updates like new handles and a refreshed countertop. After months of preparation and gathering materials, the renovation process began with extensive cleaning, stripping, sanding, and repairing.

Decorative touches were added to the top drawers, while cleaning products were used to revive the wood’s natural appearance.

To address missing glazing beads, wood pulp was applied, and a new veneer was acquired for the damaged countertop.

Careful oiling gave the chest of drawers an elegant finish. Upon completing the main restoration, attention turned to refining the inner drawers, securing glazing beads, and attaching handles.

Through meticulous effort, the old oak chest of drawers was transformed into a stylish and refined interior piece. What do you think of the final outcome?
