Grizzly bears were raised by man as orphans
What if you had an 800-pound grizzly bear for a best friend?
Whoever claims that a massive wild animal weighing 800 pounds couldn’t make the ideal pet is mistaken, as this man in Montana has thousands of reasons to show! Casey Anderson has had a strong affinity towards wild animals ever since he was a young child. Bears were also always close to his heart because he was raised in Montana. The 44-year-old guy dedicated his life—or, perhaps more accurately, his whole career—to the preservation and protection of those magnificent animals. More than that, he always made an effort to teach others about what wilderness is and how we should respect it.
But his extraordinary affinity with Brutus, his best mate and an 800 kg bear, led to his special relationship with Grizzly bears. Since the enormous beast was a tiny cub just a few months old, the two have known one another for a very long time.
Casey discovered the defenseless animal at the time abandoned in the highlands of Alaska. The young bear’s mother was probably killed while hunting. Casey, who has always had a soft spot for animals, immediately took the cub and started taking care of him. Fortunately for them both, what should have been a brief relationship (until Brutus was ready to return to the wild) developed into an unbreakable friendship.
Casey said to Oprah that “this bond extends beyond just taking care of Brutus.” They are extremely sensitive animals… When he was a little child, I was giving him a bottle while staring into his eyes. He was crying a little bit. I simply assumed that he must have been straining while consuming the bottle. A few years later, Brutus experienced some little abdominal pain. He also had the same tear in his eyes. I now understood that grizzly bears experience similar feelings to humans.
