How Do Swedes Live In an Apartment Of 215 sqft?: The Man Showed Off His Small, But Super Cozy Apartment!
In 2020, our main character in this story decided to move into a studio after he divorced his wife. Leaving her and the children a spacious house in the suburbs, he took out a loan and bought a compact home near his place of work. At first, he had plans to quickly pay off the loan within 3-5 years and move into a larger flat. Over time, however, he realised that 20 square metres was enough for him.
– It has everything to live comfortably: a bedroom, a living room, a work corner, a kitchen. What else is there to want? – says the owner of the studio.
Let’s find out how the man has organised his new place.
We will visit a house in Uppsala, Sweden’s second largest city.
This studio didn’t originally have a ‘second level’, but it was added at the owner’s request.
Inside there is a TV, a comfortable workstation and a mini-bar. Interesting fact: each step of the stairs is a locker for things.
The room overlooks the kitchen and hallway, which are combined into one space.
The refrigerator is almost right up to the entrance, but there is a separate kitchen area. An unusual solution, but to each his own!
In the corridor of the house there are individual wardrobes where the owner stores shoes and outerwear.
This kitchen area also has an entrance to the bathroom. There is a microwave above the fridge and additional cupboards next to it.
The bathroom is designed in a classic Scandinavian style.
What do you think of such a solution for the arrangement of the dwelling?
Do you think the man made the right choice to stay here for a long time?
