“My Son will not be an Orphan!” The Story of the Argentine Doctor who, at age 83, Decided to Become a Father

A year ago, every Argentine daily carried headlines such as “Physician becomes father at the age of 83!” Alberto Cormillot is one of Latin America’s most well-known dietitians. Dr. Cormillot drew media notice in 2019 when he married a woman he had known for 48 years. However, when Alberto announced shortly after his wedding that his wife was expecting a child, he was inundated with letters! And, sadly, not all of these letters were positive…

The World’s Nutritionist

Cormillot was regarded as a living legend in Argentina. Alberto, a nutritionist with a half-century of experience, could treat any eating condition. Thanks to the techniques developed by Cormillot, thousands of people across the country were able to lose weight, cure gastrointestinal problems, and achieve their desired shapes.

The finest advertisement for all of Dr. Alberto’s innovations, though, is the man himself. The dietitian uses all of the suggested strategies in his daily life, which is why, at the age of nine, he appears 60 at most! Cormillot enjoys dancing, goes to the gym on a daily basis, and is still very active.

The Prudent’s Wrath

Even Alberto’s perpetual vigour could not save him from public criticism. Many people condemned the doctor because of his wife’s pregnancy, despite the fact that they were half a century apart in age. Critics were not afraid to voice themselves. “What, Mr. Doctor, will you bring the little orphan into the world?” some mocked.

Cormillot, on the other hand, dismisses such remarks. Dr. Alberto is a natural optimist. Cormillot already has a son and a daughter who are both adults. There was nothing wrong with having another heir, according to the dietitian. And, as time has proven, he was correct!

Healthy baby

Baby Emilio was born on September 17, 2021. The little boy was born a perfectly healthy baby and so far his parents have not had any problems with him. On the contrary, Dr. Alberto admires how easy it is to be a parent now. “For example, they didn’t have such comfortable strollers in the old days,” he says.

Cormillot genuinely enjoys being a late father and has Napoleonic plans. “I want to live to at least 105 so I can celebrate his graduation with my son!” – laughs the medic. Yes, of course, there’s not much chance of that, even for such an energetic man. But Alberto refuses to give up!

That’s a fantastic idea

Kormillot has prepared a special gift for his son in case the old woman with the scythe does pick him up early. The dad had previously established up a WhatsApp number for the youngster and had already poured in a slew of stories, texts, and images. A strange yet highly hilarious message to the future!
