Richard Gere, the iconic actor famed for his heartbreak roles, found lasting love in Alejandra Silva after experiencing two failed marriages.

Following his marriages to supermodel Cindy Crawford and actress Carey Lowell, Gere decided to put his heart on hold until he found the right woman.

Enter Alejandra Silva, a Spanish activist and a kindred spirit in humanitarian pursuits.

Gere and Silva officially became a couple in 2014, but their connection dates back 15 years. Their paths first crossed when Gere, working on a TV ad, borrowed a boat from Silva’s father.

Initially family friends, their bond deepened when they reunited, both realizing they had found their soulmate. Despite a significant age difference, their karmic energies, as Gere puts it, made any potential obstacles fade away.

The couple chose to keep their romance private until 2015 when they were spotted in Sicily attending the Taormina Film Festival. In 2018, they exchanged vows in a quiet ceremony on Gere’s ranch, followed by a celebration in New York.

Silva, praising Gere’s humanitarian side, described him as humble, sensitive, and generous, making her feel like the luckiest woman.

Their love story reached a new chapter with the birth of their second child in 2020. Silva shared a photo of their visit to the Dalai Lama, revealing her pregnancy.

Gere, now 73, acknowledges the challenges of raising children at his age but remains optimistic, promising Silva at least 20 good years.  Despite concerns about time, the couple embraces each moment, living a life filled with love, joy, and shared values.
