On the global day dedicated to raising awareness about Stiff Person Syndrome, a condition Dion disclosed she was battling in 2022, she reached out to her followers on social media. Accompanying her uplifting message was a seldom-seen photograph featuring Dion with her three sons: 13-year-old twins Eddie and Nelson, and 23-year-old Charles.

“Many of you are aware that I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in the fall of 2022. Navigating through this autoimmune disease has been an incredibly tough journey, but I’m committed to fighting this with the hope of returning to performing and living life to its fullest.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the unwavering support from my children, family, team, and all of you. My heart goes out to everyone worldwide dealing with this condition. Remember, we can overcome this challenge. Together, we are strong!” Dion shared.

It’s worth noting that Dion made a heartwarming public appearance last November, enjoying a hockey game with her sons, after privately dealing with her health issues. Moreover, she recently graced the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, presenting Taylor Swift with the Album of the Year award.

According to a Page Six source, Dion’s appearances are her way of demonstrating that a diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome is not an end-all, offering hope and encouragement to others facing similar battles.
