The renowned Hollywood actor has reprised his role as the talented accountant with high-functioning autism, Christian Wolff, in the sequel to the thriller film “The Accountant.” To portray the character, he underwent a transformation by shaving off his facial hair and opting for a shorter, trendy haircut, which seemed to make him appear noticeably younger.

During filming in Los Angeles, the actor was spotted wearing a casual pale blue button-down shirt paired with khaki trousers, a belt, and grey trainers. Later, he donned a dark jacket with a zip on the chest, showcasing his trim physique on set. Affleck appeared to be in good spirits as he engaged with members of the film crew, and his longtime friend and co-producer, Matt Damon, was also seen on set.

Affleck has embraced a sober lifestyle after battling alcohol addiction, while his partner, Jennifer Lopez, follows a healthy diet and abstains from alcohol consumption. Although she positively influences her husband’s habits, he still indulges in smoking and has a fondness for fast food establishments.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, the original film, released in 2016, grossed over $155 million at the box office and has enjoyed success on streaming platforms. Following its popularity on Netflix, discussions about a sequel began, with director Gavin O’Connor and screenwriter Bill Dubuque returning for the project.

The sequel will feature returning cast members Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson. However, it remains unclear whether Anna Kendrick will reprise her role, as details about her character’s involvement in the storyline are being kept under wraps.

In the plot of the sequel, Christian Wolff must unravel the mystery surrounding the murder of Cynthia Addai-Robinson’s character’s boss, teaming up with his brother Brax to solve the case. A release date for “The Accountant 2” on the big screen is yet to be announced.
