The mother of the ducklings abruptly vanished last month, abandoning them all alone. While everyone around them was worried about them, the shrewd dog warmed up to them and even took care of them.

The brave dog Fred frequently carries the ducklings in his crate. The dog watches over them while they swim and eat. On the grass, the infants sleep alongside their new father.

He is now content to be a parent raising the nine newborn baby birds since they appreciate him so much.

We hope he will continue to act as their father for only a few more weeks until they are old enough to live alone.
