At fourteen, he began working in a restaurant as an assistant cook, where he honed his skills in meat preparation. By twenty-seven, he opened his first small steakhouse, which could accommodate only a handful of guests.
“I persevered in honing my craft in meat preparation, even when faced with setbacks like being rejected for training in the US,” he recalls. “That determination ultimately led me to become one of the best in the business.”
Today, as the owner of a successful steakhouse chain, Nusret’s restaurants attract high-profile patrons, with dinner bills ranging from $1,700 to $2,000 minimum.
