“Their Birth Was a Big Surprise For Everyone”: What Do Twin Brothers With Different Skin Colors Look Like Now?

David and Daniel Omirin, born on 26th February 2019, gained global recognition through social media. Their unique status as twins garnered attention due to David’s albinism, resulting in distinct physical features between the siblings. While one brother boasts dark skin and hair, the other showcases blond hair. Their older sister Demilad was born without albinism.

Residing in Lagos, Nigeria, Stacey, 30, and Babajide, 38, welcomed the twins into the world, prompting widespread fascination among hospital staff. Stacey, initially unaware of the possibility of birthing a child with albinism, was surprised by the revelation. Despite advances in ultrasound technology, such nuances in pigmentation remained undetectable.

The twins’ birth sparked curiosity among onlookers, with many questioning their parental connection. Stacey recounted instances where she was approached to identify her children, prompting incredulous reactions upon affirming their relationship.

While David and Daniel share similar energetic and jovial personalities, David’s albinism sets him apart, manifesting in visual impairments necessitating early use of glasses. Notably, Daniel has followed suit in wearing glasses more recently.

Their mother, Stacey, shares their journey on Instagram, providing glimpses into their growth and activities. Celebrating their 5th birthday, the twins exhibit distinct personalities and interests, with David displaying a relaxed demeanor and Daniel exuding an active nature.

In 2021, the twins embarked on their educational journey, attending primary school in Nigeria. Their love for football and dance endures, while their parents document their milestones and advocate for awareness about albinism, hoping to dispel myths and foster acceptance in African communities. Stacey aspires for her sons to attract brand partnerships, enabling them to thrive while educating others about albinism’s realities. David’s participation in a World Albinism Day video two years ago underscores their commitment to advocacy and inclusion.
