Transforming 110 ft² Into a Cozy Summer Paradise: Discover the Magic Inside This Charming Cottage!
This charming little house by the St. Croix River, a tributary of the Mississippi, catches the eye of passersby. Imagine walking through the forest and suddenly coming across a tiny fairy-tale cabin — a black wooden house adorned with garlands.
The owner of this woodland retreat is Allison from Minnesota, a mother of two and a real estate agent. Allison’s main house, also situated on the St. Croix River, was built in the 1890s. This tiny house is used by the family for weekend getaways and serves as an additional source of income. Such tiny houses are known as Tiny Houses and represent not only a housing format but also a lifestyle. Owners of these homes save on taxes and building materials.
The exterior of the house looks incredibly cozy. Its size is just under 10 square meters, but there are two additional structures nearby, including a sauna and a toilet.
The river is 700 meters from the house, and Allison’s main home is half a kilometer away.
The house has two levels, creating a sense of space. The first floor features a living area with a small kitchen, while the loft contains a double bed.
The dining area and mini-kitchen are equipped with everything needed for meal preparation: you can make coffee, prepare sandwiches or more substantial dishes, and wash dishes.
The kitchen has all the essentials for a comfortable stay of a few days or weeks, including a coffee maker.
On the second level, there is a sleeping area. Despite the low ceilings, it is very pleasant to sleep here.
Nearby is the first auxiliary structure — a sauna, where you can wash and warm up on a winter evening. Only birch brooms are missing!
Finally, here is an inspiring photo. Everyone would love to spend an evening here with a cup of coffee in hand.
